In order to show the results of the skill competitions in high school and the benefits of practical application and industry-connected with the technical and vocational education policies, the Ministry of Education held the "Technical Competition Month-107 National Higher Secondary School Students' Skills Competition Month Launch Press Conference", inviting skill competition contestants to pre-appoint representatives of industrial institutions and teachers and students of five major competitions executive schools to participate in the press conference. Director Zhu Nanxian personally presented a letter of thanks to the company representatives; at the press conference, student representatives from five major competition types including maritime, aquatics, family affairs, agriculture, commerce and industry were also arranged to show skills and related works on the spot, conveying the important policy connotations of the Ministry of Education's emphasis on practical skills training and combining industry talent cultivation.
The annual National High School Student Skills Competition will officially start from the Maritime and Aquatics Competition on Tuesday, November 6. Zhu Nanxian, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education, said in the morning that the skill competition in senior secondary schools is one of the activities actively promoted by the Ministry of Education. Through the annual competition activities, students' skills learning motivation and skill level will be improved, and students' skills learning experience exchange and observation learning will be promoted, thereby strengthening students' skills level and skill learning connotation. In order to train national industry-related technical talents and guide students to integrate cross-domain learning, this year's industrial craft competition has added a "robot" competition. In order to enable elite representatives of various schools to align with the industry, the five major categories of executive schools in this academic year will continue to promote the handling of technical vocational education publicity and technical competition industry-school talent media activities; in the last school year (106 academic year), a total of 11 outstanding contestants successfully merged and obtained the opportunity to hire enterprises. Zhu Zhumi expressed his gratitude and affirmation for the company's ability to continuously innovate and implement various competitions and combine them with the needs of industrial talents. Once again, he actively assisted the company in investing and implementing the hard work of the school teachers.
The acting director of the State Education Department of the Ministry of Education, Xu Lijuan, pointed out that in recent years, in order to implement the mechanism of continuing the skills learning and skills training, the State Education Department has actively and continuously tutored various competitions to combine industrial resources, hoping to further demonstrate the purpose and substantive functions of the skill competition, and cultivate excellent technical human resources for various domestic industries. The State Education Administration has completed the establishment of the "Industry-Academic Talent Media Function Module" on the National Higher Secondary School Skills Competition Information Platform (http://sci.me.ntnu.edu.tw/), and actively coordinates the industry's participation through various executive schools to achieve practical connections with the industry; the platform also provides industry-university-media information for five major categories of contestants, including providing scholarships, salary and other benefits, so as to establish a good industry-university-interaction mechanism to further integrate and train outstanding industrial talents.
Acting Director Xu further stated that in order to assist the skill learning of all kinds of contestants with excellent competitions, the Ministry of Education will continue to improve its skills learning, and will continue to handle the opportunities for outstanding contestants with excellent competitions to go overseas to study professionally, so as to expand their international horizons and deepen their skills learning level, and cultivate professional and skilled talents with an international perspective for the country and improve the future competitiveness of various industries in the country.
